Life In Wales

24 Hours in Brighton

We had a road trip back to Brighton today as Alan had his second Covid vaccination booked. It was booked at the same time as his first one and after we moved we tried to change it, but it wasn’t that simple as we would have had to cancel this one and then re-book. We didn’t want to do that, in case it caused a problem getting the same vaccine within the time limit, and decided to come back to Brighton, which also gave us the opportunity to catch up with friends.
We left home at 7.45am and had a good journey, although it felt very long, but I managed to have a Blip catch up while Alan was driving!

Alison said we could stay with her and Tony, but they have a cat, which meant the boys couldn’t come with us, so we arranged for them to stay with Charlotte who is also going to combine grooming them. We arrived at Charlotte’s just after 1pm and after a quick chat we headed into town. I had a prescription to pick up - we haven’t registered with the doctor in Wales yet, we decided to wait until Alan had been vaccinated so as not to confuse things, and we’ll do this next week.

I had a couple of things to do in town and then I met Louise & Marianna on the beach for a drink and a catch up while Alan went for his jab. It was really lovely to see them and plans were made for them to hopefully come to visit us in Wales. Alan joined us afterwards and took some photos before we had to leave.

We had a lovely evening with Alison and Tony, Alison made dinner and we provided the wine. Good times with good friends!
