A heavy sadness.........

........in our home today.

That beautiful puppy who stole our hearts, has had to be returned to the breeder. We are devastated.
We took her to the local vets for her " Healthy Puppy" check and as soon as the vet put the stethoscope to her chest she just said "oh no".........she, and two other vets, heard a severe heart murmur. Grade 5. Out of 5.
We could have driven her to a radiological specialist for and echocardiogram, possible surgery, etc, etc, etc. (and not covered by insurance as pre-existing)  After our past 18 months with me causing problems we had to make the sensible decision. It was the worst decision but we did. Drove her back to the breeder. I'm still crying this morning (Saturday). Pathetic but we just adored her. In 24 hours she stole both our hearts..........

So thank you all for the love you've sent lately. For my good news re my biopsy, for welcoming the puppy, sharing our joy and celebrations. Your stars and hearts were lovely and truly appreciated.

There are so many worse things in life that could have happened I know. But this one thing has affected the Driver and me (and our kids and munchkins as well. And all the surrogate aunties (Doyley22 for one).

We will find another - I hope.............
Oh - and it's no fault of the breeder either (she was almost as upset as we were) as, when she was vet checked at 6 weeks, her heart was so tiny it would have been extremely difficult to hear the abnormality, according to the vet yesterday. It's not inherited either. Just really bad luck :-(((
