Port Isaac

We left North London very early, to beat most of the traffic was our hope, but before not too long we were sitting in a traffic jam on the M25 :-(

We still made good time & after a short stop on the way we were in our favourite village, Port Isaac, shortly after 11am.

We really had forgotten just how beautiful the North Cornish coast is with the thrift & the red valerian growing along all the coastal paths :-)

We had a lovely lunch in the hotel which doubles up as the school in Doc Martin! We enjoyed walking around the village and Milly enjoyed an ice cream too :-)

The extras show the tiny roads along which we travelled to our cottage - I always think we’re in trouble if grass is growing in the middle of the road!! The other is Little Miss enjoying a glass of something cold ;-)
