Frame

The top sash window from 1845 which I have been taking back to the wood over the past week. Getting the old ( very) putty off has been the main difficulty but finally managed. The fine timber is only about 4 mm between glass and the two small sections which broke have now been glued back in place. Some filling of the old holes where the rusted screws of the fastener were and odd other holes then primer and undercoat before re glazing. 3 of the panes were cracked already then 2 were broken during removal so sadly not possible too keep it totally original.
A beautiful sunny day coffee on the terrace.
