Doris Mooltsje

Doris Mooltsje was probably built in the 18th century, as evidenced by an inscription in the lower tower dated 1790. This makes it one of the oldest dated watermills in Friesland.

The mill drained polder 34 and was called Doris Mooltsje after the last miller. In 1908 Doris Hoekstra became the owner of the adjacent farm and this mill. The mill was partially demolished around 1934 and then housed a pumping station.

In the 1990s, the mill was restored and restored.
