Mini Moments

Went to Pateley Bridge mid morning and after a stroll we called in to a cafe for flat whites, home made cheese scones and coffee cake.
The baking was delicious and we told the owner so, she was very modest but she really had the touch.
When we walked down the main street we were surprised to see a Mini car rally coming past so l quickly got out my camera.
Happy memories because we have had two of those many years ago.

Then we went to look at more sofas.
Not in our plans but we both bought a linen dress each, Elaine bought a scarf as well.
We both bought a glass vase which we both thought would be a really good one for cut flowers, the sort you keep in a cupboard until is needed.
I picked some flowers from the garden to put in mine when we got home.
See extra.
Expensive weekend for Elaine because she bought a painting yesterday.
She will blame me for making her spend her money but l promise l didn’t encourage her and it is fabulous.
I’m making a curry for supper tonight, not my strongest flair of cooking but the vegetable samosas and pakora from Keelhams will certainly boost my efforts.
Sat in the conservatory at the moment, we could hear the cheers from the Red Lion pub where the beer garden was packed to watch the England team v Croatia on the big screen, all sounded so happy.
Game over now and the village has gone very peaceful again.
