A riot of colour

We booked tickets to visit the Castle Howard grounds today. My blip shows my favourite flower shots but I was able to get shots of the house and statues around the garden without any people as there is so much room there to spread out. I had my macro lens with me today and found lots more common spotted orchids. There were ducklings, goslings and cygnets. The grounds reminded us of Stourhead. Both yesterday and today there was a marked absence of butterflies which is quite worrying, only one seen each day,
