Industrial heritage

We had a walk along the shore today towards Silverknowes from Granton. The Granton gasometer dating from 1903 has survived threats of demolition and there has been approval from the Council for a project to illuminate the landmark. Students from Edinburgh College working in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council have produced designs to create light shows which will illuminate the sky over Granton Waterfront for a period of up to 2 years from this summer.
More about the history of the gasometer can be found here https://canmore.org.uk/site/281286/edinburgh-granton-gasworks-no-1-gasholder
My extras are what seems to be just a twisted piece of metal on the sea wall at Gypsy Brae - not sure if it is “deliberate “ art or just an artistic accident; the other shot is the view over to Fife on a lovely June day.
