Tea with Lys Hansen

We had an  unexpected phone call this morning inviting us to afternoon tea with artist Lys Hansen.
 
Lys is my artist mentor  ever since I attended her Life Drawing classes at Dollar summer school . She encouraged me, in my mid -50’s to go to art school and I enrolled at Glasgow School of Art.
Just over ten years go Lys helped a small group of us launch Forth Valley Open Studios.
 
I had been meaning to give Lys a ring to discuss an art installation I am preparing for the Smith museum and gallery , part of the GOSSIP Collective I belong to, later this month so it was most opportune.
 
Lys, of course, was looking as glamorous and timeless as ever.
