Baking Day

This is one half of a salt & pepper shaker that belonged to my mother. I don't remember ever seeing the other half (apparently it was a Male cook). I remember seeing this ornament on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard when I was about 4, & I was always trying to get at it so I could play with it! It's like a family heirloom now! Anyhoo, I did some baking today & I was going to take a photo of that, but I couldn't get a good composition so I took this one instead. The book is a 1952 edition of Aunt Daisy's Book of Handy Hints.Oh, & I made banana cake, peanut brownie cookies & hokey pokey cookies!
