A rehearsal (yea!) and Covid Memorial Wall

I had my first rehearsal since early last Summer at  St John's Smith Square in London today. It was so good to be back in an orchestra even if we were socially distanced and without an audience. Tchaikovsky No 6 - appropriately powerful and soulful symphony for these dark times.

St John's is very close to the Houses of Parliament and, across the Thames, is the impromptu "Covid Wall" of hearts for all those that have died from Covid-19. So, after the rehearsal, my wife and I walked down there (see the extras). Hopefully a reminder to all those across the Thames that their decisions have cost lives over the last 18 months.
