Between the RainDrops

We're finally into our 'Rain Every Afternoon' season. I managed to snap this before the sky opened up. This is Ruellia caroliniensis, aka Carolina Ruellia, or Carolina wild petunia. It's native to the Southeastern United States and grows very happily and abundantly in our yard. I love the plant and it's small blue/violet flowers!
