The kids had a group hug and a chinwag in the Natterbox before Eve headed off to Surrey on the train for a few weeks.

Apart from that, I picked up the car from having all the tyres replaced, sobbed as I keyed in our PIN number, then worked the rest of the day.

Later, Ruby made the most delicious (and most garlicky) bruschetta.
