Lekking Long-Horns

I have been looking forward to seeing long-horn moths lekking and was delighted to find a swarm of yellow-barred male long-horns dancing in the dappled light by the lake this morning. It must be very difficult for them to fly with those enormous antennae.

I've added an image of the object of their affections to extras. A lone female. She has much shorter antennae and I was surprised to see a touch of purple in her colouring. If I'd had the 7DMkII with me I would have switched to manual focus and captured the lek. I couldn't manage a decent shot of the action with the R5.
