Cold Crocuses

You might think that after thousands of years of coming up too soon and getting frozen, the crocus family would have had a little sense knocked into it.

I'm glad,though, that they do come early. They are a lovely splash of colour. This morning there is thick ice on the pond, but the sun is shining and the crocuses are open to the warmth- such contrasts in a small patch of garden!
