FISHING BOAT HARBOUR

....in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Built in 1919 to provide an anchorage for fishing vessels.
Each year a ceremony known as the Blessing of the Fleet occurs in the harbour to ensure a safe and bountiful fishing season.

The harbour is also the final hoorah for the finalists in The America's Cup (1987) - Dennis Conner, skipper 'Stars n Stripes' v Iain Murray's 'Kookaburra III' yacht in the 12metre class with Stars and Stripes being victors.
The harbour, after the final race, was heaving with people.  They were jammed on the boardwalks and on the rooves of surrounding restaurants.
Thanks to Wikipedia and my memory for the short history lesson.
I am open to be corrected.

Anyhow today the harbour broadcast lovely reflections for Bob's challenge - thanks, Bob.

In extras is a black and white version.  MrD chose the coloured one.
