I’m not a fan of EVs.
I think they’re an infrastructural and environmental disaster in the making.
The government needs to be installing at least 1000 charging points a day if everyone with EVs wants to be able to charge their cars to get to work in 2030 (make that 6000 if there are no internal combustion engines cars in use)
If all cars in uk are electric we will need around 30 million tons of batteries.
At the moment the well-off are the only ones being subsidised by the lower paid to drive expensive EVs. That’s stupid.
It is not going to work for cars on any level.
Anything up to the size of a mobility scooter is great (and quadcopter drones of course - not possible without electric motors).
