Synchronised chain sawing

N and J finally felled the large conifer today after two years in the planning. They did a fine job in directing it to land along the length of the driveway, doing very little damage to surrounding plants and shrubs. Even more amazing, they managed to cut it up sufficiently to clear the track by the end of the afternoon. I counted 33 rings in the cross-section of its trunk so it wasn't a very old tree although it had grown well, reaching a height of over 60 feet, producing enough firewood for a few winters to come.
