In a reply to a comment yesterday I said that I’d walk further if I didn’t take so many photos.  I aim to be out for no more than 1½ hrs.

The challenge was on! This morning I made it to High Sweden Bridge without stopping. Then I got the camera out and took some shots (I was lucky to catch a photoshoot in progress), had a drink and a piece of flapjack. Across the packhorse bridge then upwards to join the higher path before putting the camera back in my rucksack and dropping back down to Ambleside. At about 4 miles this could be my longest walk this year, and just within my time limit.
