Mock Orange Blossom

My Mum's Philadelphus (Mock Orange)shrub is looking wonderful and the flowers are sweetly scented too. On returning  home today  I found the flowers  of the weird, chlorophyll-free, parasitic,  Knapweed Brooomrape  (blipped on13th June)have opened (see extra).

This evening, we were treated to a live, on-line performance  of "As You Like It"  by  "Sweet Tea  Shakespeare" , a performing arts group, based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. There were only five members of the cast, with each one taking  several parts; changing  hats, spectacles, and wigs, to denote their different characters.
When  the  Bard wrote how "All the world's a stage, and all the  men and women merely players:" he couldn't possibly have imagined that "they have their exits and their  entrances..." by  Zoom, but tonight that was most definitely the case!
