Camellia....

....so pure as the petals delicately unfurl, Cinnamon Cindy is the first to flower of the winter/spring flowering camellias in my garden.

I was pleasantly surprised as I strolled through my garden with a cuppa in hand. I discovered buds on hellebores, camellia buds and flowers and little purple primulas standing tall.

It was calm, cold and very damp underfoot, a great haven for our tiny lawn fungi. Little silvereyes flitted from tree to tree while blackbirds and thrush picked amongst decaying leaves. It was supposed to rain today, instead sun peaked out between drifting clouds, 8C

Flower Friday today, warm thanks to Anni for hosting :)

Happy weekend everyone :)
