Bridge House

Backblip

This quirky little house spans a small stream in Ambleside. It dates from the 17th Century and has had various uses including storing apples.

We awoke to rain and cool weather this morning. It mattered not at all as we arranged to meet John Gravett for a coffee. It was lovely to see him again and to drool over the gorgeous bokeh he could get from the vintage lenses that he had with him.

Later we had thought of going to Loughrigg Tarn but the cloud was so low and it was miserable so we popped in to Ambleside to find a toilet before heading back to the hotel to warm up and read our books.

Our few days' holiday is soon after and it is back home tomorrow.
