Is It Summer?

This Montana Clematis usually flowers in May. Three weeks ago there was very little going on, leaf or flowerwise. But as you can see, in the second half of June it's come into it's own. I'm so happy, as are the sparrows and blackbirds and starlings who have been nesting there. The blackbirds are still nest building!
Today I've found some Hammerite in the shed, so I've painted an old mini coal scuttle that was rusting away, and an old eyesore dustbin where we store the bird food. Both looking good now. Tomorrow I'll be stencilling something pretty onto them.
All the begonias are potted up now in baskets and tubs, I don't know if they'll produce any flowers. Time will tell.
