In the swimming queue

A long time resident of Brentford explained these holes in the wall of the old swimming baths (see extra for whole building, which is now flats, hence the unsightly bins). While queuing to go swimming, he remembers the children using coins to make, and then enlarge, these holes, and grind the linear marks. I really enjoy imagining those queues of happy excited children outside this building in years gone by.
