Brockham Green

We were out to lunch again today, this time at The Grumpy Mole pub in Brockham. It faces this huge village green, site of the annual Guy Fawkes bonfire and firework display. This is normally a massive affair drawing people from far and wide but it was cancelled last year of course.
We were there for lunch with J and M together with their son Jake to celebrate not only J and M’s birthdays but also Fathers Day tomorrow. We ate well, as always at The Grumpy Mole, but we enjoyed a long leisurely chat with them too. They came back to our house afterwards where we exchanged presents.
Jake put four more pieces into my jigsaw. It is a slow process!
