Blackbirds

We have a blackbird nest in our garden this year - it has been a constant source of delight and interest to me. I now know quite a bit about them and find it fascinating! They were relentless in their feeding of their young - the volume of worms was impressive. When I dug up a section of the garden they were practically beside me picking out the newly exposed worms

They has four little ones to start with although in the end only three of them fledged. Apparently they might still lay another batch of eggs this summer.
