Wharfe Dale -filming All Creatures Great and Small

What a lovely day ! Set off early to Burnsall as we could only get a 6:30 am breakfast ! We walked along the river as far as Hebden and then detoured to the Old School Tea Room where we had coffee and an early lunch in a little booth in the garden .
We were interested in the trout farm there lower down in the valley .I tried to traverse the river on the stepping stones but only made it half way !
It was quite hot but the riverside was delightful and very popular with walkers . We carried on as far as the stepping stones at Linton within sight of the little church but didn’t make it to the falls . We then  traced our steps back to Burnsall .
Next we drove up the Dale to Buckden and Hubberholme . We came upon filming for James Herriot and inadvertently got in shit when we stopped to take a photo . Suddenly the Director was waving his arms at us to move on ! Whoops !

Later, we went to Malham to have dinner at the Buck Inn although it was accompanied by some enthusiastic football supporters shouting in the bar . We drove up to Malham tarn afterwards - it was such a beautiful light and there were so many larks flying up above us as well as curlews calling .
