Life after Burradoo, NSW

Pick the sick tree

These two gums live in our side garden. The one on the right is terminally ill and has been deemed to be dangerous by our local council. An arborist visited this morning to assess it and provide a quotation for removing it. We're not looking forward to receiving that.

In early August both this tree and the massive gum tree behind our house, which has also been condemned, will be removed. We will have a wood chipper parked in our driveway and operating for three or four days!! We just may go mad.

The extra shows some of the worrying damage to our tree which the arborist believes is evidence that the tree has been under great stress and may have already come close to falling.
