Today I went on a shopping tour for my mother (pharmacy, supermarket, bank and drugstore), had lunch with her, and helped with jobs in her house and garden. There is so much to do that she can't manage anymore, even with the help of her carer. Today we started clearing up a spare room that has become a dump.

My mother has always been a bit of a hoarder. Since she suffers from dementia, she does not allow anything to be changed or thrown away - not even old newspapers or dead plants. It's not easy to make any headway in tidying the house.

Thankfully, the weather has changed, so we can move and breathe again. It's now about 15 degrees cooler than last week, and we even had some rain. So pleasant!

At the drugstore car park, I spotted the poppy plant growing in a concrete desert and thought, it deserves to be a blip star.
