Dragonfly

Dragonfly. Sue spent a lovely morning ‘trying’ to photograph dragonflies flying. I am looking forward to seeing her pictures. Anyway, we sat down for lunch and this little beauty came a sat on the next table. He did have some friends but they were not as sociable. My camera was in its bag so I grabbed this with my iPhone 12 using the telephoto lens in AppleRaw. I snapped away as I approached it and this one was taken about 12” from it. Very little crop, just knocked a bit off top and bottom. I think it maybe is a Black Headed Skimmer. Just been told it’s a Male Black Tailed Skimmer :)
