Flank Steak

Grilled flank steak with radish shoot chimichuri, salted cucumber, and pickled guindilla peppers (not home pickled - Spanish). Wine: Sebastiani Gravel Bed Red 2016.

The steak was delicious... but how could grilled flank steak not be? We are definitely at the beginning of our annual deluge of CSA cucumbers, but I'm keeping up so far (and hoping for some pickling cucumbers). I am not a huge fan of California red blends that throw every red grape imaginable together to create a fruit bomb, but this one is decent for the type (it has Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Syrah, and Zinfandel).
