Lupin Heaven

One of the multi-coloured lupins in a field next to Terwck - St Peter's Church.  Originally planted commercially with lupins, as part of market garden, the field was gifted to the National Trust in 1938 on the condition that lupins would continue to be grown there.

I only became aware of this little gem a few weeks ago from images posted by other blippers, and with the recent heavy rain and late spring the field was probably past its best with meadow grass threatening to overcome the lupins. However I spent a happy hour among the lupins, chasing (and totally missing) butterflies and bees and the like, and enjoying the beauty of these statuesque flowers.
