‘An Edinburgh View’

Just over 5 minutes walk from Edinburgh’s Princes Street, this is the view!

It’s from the Dean Bridge - crossing the Water of Leith, over 100 feet below - and looking west towards the Dean Village.

The two towers in the far distance are of part of what was originally the classically designed Dean Orphanage, and is now part of the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art - ‘Modern Two’.

One of Thomas Telford’s final works, the bridge was completed in 1832.
