Young Heron

I took a walk this morning before the day heated up. I didn't expect to see any herons. I thought they'd all have gone. But no. There were still a few youngsters practicing. And there were a few flying through with their new found freedom. Couldn't get a shot of one of those but I liked the look of this one flapping its wings.
