Goodbye

Today we removed the rosebush that has given us such an incredible amount of beautiful roses.
A six dollar plant in 2012 it grew to an enormous height and beauty. The black spot disease that it had like all other roses was tolerable and did not prevent it from blooming abundantly.

Then , three years ago, it got infected with a red spot fungus, which had already killed my beautiful pink rose. This is a fungus that makes all leaves fall off and prevents buds from developing and blooming.

So to get this eyesore out of my sight( bare branches, red spots on branches and buds) we decided to go with the radical solution.

This blip is a thank you for a very grateful nameless rose. It had a sweet fragrance too...
