The end of the canal at Clachnaharry

I haven't been down there for a while, but it didn't disappoint. This is on a far flung edge of Inverness; the place where the Caledonian Canal meets the North Sea. I met a pal at the Inn. He mistakenly thought it was still my birthday and insisted on buying me beer. It wasYarl, probably the best ale in the world. We talked about books, music and life at the back of the pub, in spitting distance of the railway line. Train drivers dutifully tooted. What's not to like?
