We left seahouses today, in the rain, and pooled off to see the Angel of the North.  It was damp, so after a quick wander around we partook of the coffee and cake available on site, served by a delightful woman.
The man looking up at the statue gives great scale - very fortuitous to arrive just as he was there, standing stock still at a similar angle!
We have arrived in Gloucester for the night to enable us to get to Slimbridge tomorrow, weather permitting.
We have had such a wonderful week we felt this would be great way to 'wind down'.  Let's hope the weather plays ball.
