The three beinns

After a hearty breakfast of Arran black pudding and scrambled eggs we head off for a walk in the hills. It’s a beautiful day - clear, cool, dry.

The circular route takes in Beinn Nuis, Beinn Tarsuinn, and Beinn Cliábhain. We’re in no hurry and take six hours or so to complete the circuit.

By the end, the sun is out. As we reach the Glen Rosa bridge, we detour to a rock pool. I cool my feet in the brown water, while Tom strips off and jumps in.

Then it’s back to Whiting Bay for beer and pasta. Bliss.
