Tools of the trade.

There are plenty more tools on the refurbishment job underway here; this wee selection were keeping one another company on the cardboard floor protection in the “workroom” when I tidied up a bit.

Watched the British and Irish Lions game against Japan from Murrayfield (a Covid19 test crowd; reduced capacity, restrictions etc). It was the curtain raiser for the Lions Tour to South Africa; next game is in Johannesburg next weekend. They beat Japan 20-10. Sadly some injuries; most notable being the Tour Captain now unable to travel (fractured shoulder).

The U.K. Government Health Secretary Hancock resigned; hypocritical conduct still front page news - and his moralistic tones deemed unacceptable by many. Also important questions over appointment of lady involved to certain important roles.

Family are well. Older son met up with a few old university friends in St Andrews on the beach and pier, and later a few old work colleagues in Edinburgh. His fiancé is in Skye in nice weather. Plans changed for younger son and partner; someone they were to meet has tested positive recently.
