Where there’s smoke!

No, not another sunset photo! This is smoke forming a cloud down the valley above the sugarcane fields. The farmers burn the fields prior to harvest to make it easier to process the cane as the stalks and leaves are removed.

If the wind is in the right direction we will have sooty burnt leaves littering our verandahs and the property tomorrow. Not really a problem except when you forget and tramp them into the house.
