As I gaun doon by Turra market......

Another day of running around.
Fed all the outside cattle then nipped next door to help load this lorry with some lambs that were off to Turriff . They were booked in for last week, but the slaughterhouse cancelled. By the time they went today the price had fallen and each lamb is worth £20-£25 less. They joys of farming !
Littlemiss came with me this afternoon to collect a calf to twin on to yesterday’s cow. A wee trip to near Galashiels . Back home , put the skin on it and left mother and new baby to get acquainted .
Another trip to fill the petrol cans tonight. It was 129.9p at Tesco for diesel, 134.9 p at the Shell. Why don’t we hear anything on the news about the price of fuel going up so much now ? A couple of years ago it was all over the news with folk protesting ! Funny how it was a lot cheaper during lockdown when demand was less .
