Between Showers…..

New Zealand is in for a very cold snap, an Antarctic blast over the next few days. It is already affecting the south of the South Island with snow storms, gales and wind chill to minus 20C in some areas. Huge seas are expected along eastern coasts. Take care, stay home, get extra firewood in and keep warm my friends.
Here in Blenheim, it was raining hard when Maisie and I left home at 6.30 this morning. I was glad of my umbrella. Then halfway through our walk, suddenly the rain stopped and the clouds cleared incredibly rapidly. Clear dark blue sky…. The “Blue Hour”. Suddenly, to our south-west, a big threatening bank of dark cloud rolled towards us and down came more torrential rain. Again it was short-lived and the skies were clearing by the time we arrived home.
