In the garden

I photographed this Common Grass Yellow butterfly in our tomato plants. Could it be attracted to the very similar yellow colour of the tomato flower, I wonder? Could it be laying eggs? Do I really want caterpillars in the tomatoes? Must keep an eye on this.
