Men at work

Five trucks, six blokes and one shovel greeted me on my walk this morning. The other two trucks were around the corner. I wasn't quite brave enough to photograph the five blokes watching the sixth bloke digging the hole with a shovel.

On my way back I could see the result of their work (see extra). To be fair to them I noticed a number of other recent repairs to the local roads. Car axles will be less prone now to be being broken as a result of the rain-induced potholes. I was struck, though, by a scene that so encapsulated the stereotype of local council work.
