San Lorenzo

The San Lorenzo beach in Gijón. The river reaches the Cantabrian sea at this point, and the bay is a favourite destination for swimmers and surfers. The City Centre extends right up to the coastline. 
The tall towers closer to the camera are the newer parts of the city; the "top of the town" ("cimadevilla") is the old area, and that´s slightly to the right of dead ahead of the camera but hard to see well  in the distance.
