In the Lane

Was heading back along my favourite lane after catching up with George and JacktheLad in the Cumberland’s beer garden. Boy but it gets cold there once the sun moves around and the wind comes whipping in. I could’ve done with a parka.
Arrived home in time to catch most of the early footie but it was dreary stuff after yesterday’s excitement. England will be happy enough though. I fancied Sweden in the other match but Ukraine have just scored. Could be the final nail in the coffin of my Fantasy Football team!
Back on the golf course early this morning. Yet more sporting ignominy. It’s racking up.
