Beaver kit

A busy morning frantically cleaning the house.  Early afternoon I picked up my sister from the train station, we hadn't seen each other for about 2 years so it was lovely but strange to see her walking towards me.  Her train journey went well without concerns over covid other than being unused to wearing a face mask for four hours.

We went for a walk around Exmouth Marina and after an early tea headed down to the River Otter to see the beavers.  She had seen them before when she last visited but that was in winter and in a different location.  Tonight we only saw two kits swimming near to their lodge but we did walk further upstream above Otterton and then back again where we spotted the kits again.  There were still small groups of people walking along the riverside so not everyone was at home or out celebrating the football.
