Paps of Jura

We got up at crack of Sparrow to get an early ferry to Jura to go and climb the Paps of Jura. We left the ferry at 08:00 and cycled for 7.5 km to get the foot of Beinn a' Chaolais, the first of the paps. It was still a little cloudy but reasonably mild and we made good progress and were fortunate that the cloud cleared the hill just after we got to the top. We then descended towards the col before Beinn an Oir and I took the blip on the way down with B, M and S. Beinn an Oir is on the left and the 3rd pap, Beinn Shiantaidh on the right. The weather remained good and the views were great; there is a lot of ascent and descent but we got back to the ferry ages before the last ferry just as a shower started: a successful day.

Best on black.
