Johnston Gardens

A visit to Johnston Gardens today. I discovered the moorhen has at least two chicks. I managed to get a picture of one of them (in the extra.). They have grown quite a bit since I last saw one of them. They were swimming around quite confidently and not sticking particularly close to mum. They still looked small enough to me to be at risk from seagulls, but perhaps they are OK.

The school holidays having started there were quite a few families around.
