Knitchen hill

This is to prove to Lady Findhorn that I managed to catch the 8.20am boat to Rousay today.

Great walk up through the RSPB reserve to the highest point on the island, Blotchnie Fiold. Before that you reach the summit of Knitchen hill with superb views over the isles. So many wildflowers, highlight was the sundews. Tiny carnivorous plants which look like they’ve come from a sci fi movie.

Spending a lot of time on Rousay at the moment as I’m working on the revamp of the heritage centre. Think I’m falling in love with the island.
